Ancient India
A serious fascinating resource for the perfect penis in ancient
India is the famous Sanskrit Hindu manual Kama Sutra which is a lot more
complex than just a series of sexual positions. It reflects should be a much
broader understanding of what ideal male members and focuses on compatibility
rather than a one-size-fits-all "good penis".
The Kama Sutra identifies three different sizes of genital to both
sexes. The man who is the hare (small), bull (average), and the horse (large).
The guide size is used to find the correct sexual partners for these formats -
a hare man should go for a deer woman, while the bulls have to be combined with
mares and horses with elephants. No idea why female genital largeness seems so
much as compared to men. There is no question of what is preferable. It is a
matching system based on making sure that everyone gets the most possible fun.
Edo Period Japan
Like the Egyptians, one of the main sources for finding out what
the ideal penis was in Edo-era Japan is pornography - more specifically, the
genre of erotic art known as shunga. Unlike the Egyptians, though, there's lots
of it.
The main feature of shunga art is that the genitals be
exaggerated, for both men and women. Scientists think this is probably to
maximize the impact and make it easier for people to see the action but it also gives us a fairly clear idea of
the perfect, sexy male member of his time. They are uncircumcised, with
prominent heads, and veins and, interestingly, the pictures celebrating pubic
hair. It is difficult to figure out whether size really mattered when things be
scaled up so much, but perimeter was clearly appreciated.
Henry VIII England
In pre-Elizabethan England, the much-married Henry VIII was
understandable for a lot of hyper masculine values, and he said as much in the
way he dressed and moved. The court fashion of the time involved huge shoulder
pads look too big and dominant, but also filled up something else. We have
entered the age of the codpiece. It is quite obvious that Henry and his court, size mattered
seriously.
When Elizabeth got the throne, however, it became a lot less apt
to wander around right flaunt your erection for a queen who had her whole image
as a virgin. But, privately, it seems that size mattered yet.
